- Deep Strike Fighter
The Omicron ScoLock
consortium is second in the Galaxy only to the Galactic
ConFederation's military consortium. Though all star
systems in ConFederal space use the GCDF's consortium
for all standard military hardware, there are those
systems who can both afford, and find need, for more
specialized equipment and services. This is where the
Galaxy-wide Omicron ScoLock consortium has found a profitable
market delivering supplementary military hardware to
systems willing to pay the price for an advantage over
their neighbors. Many systems in the ConFederation were
forced into a tenuous peace with former enemies, and
often the show of strength was more a matter of pride
for a star system, more than the necessity of superior
war materiel.
The Avenger is
another specialized fighter offering from Omicron-Scolock,
fulfilling the need for a long range fighter, capable
of deep strike missions behind enemy lines without escort.
This fighter has found great success in this role, as
a precision-target deep strike fighter. It's long range,
good defensive abilities, and adequate combat prowess
highlight the genius of it's design. However, it can
only carry one heavy weapon system on it's single fuselage
hard point, making the point of "precision strikes".
Still, for missions
requiring deep penetration into enemy territory to hit
a single target of importance, few fighters can do the
job better.
